Culinary and musical evening in Myrkdalen
Saturday November 16th we are hosting a culinary and musical evening at Myrkdalen Hotel. The evening starts with a concert with the renowned Norwegian pianist Sjur Hjeltnes followed by a four course meal made by the award-winning master chef Ørjan Johannessen.
Ørjan Johannessen is from Austevoll in Western Norway. He grew up watching and helping his parents cook at Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri. The Bocuse d’Or has played a huge role in Ørjan Johannessen’s life. With the support of his family, friends, team and commis, Chef Ørjan devoted more than ten thousand hours to achieve the Bocuse d’Or Gold Medal, which he earned in 2015.
Johannessen likes to use local produce and create traditional dishes with a new twist. Every year he visits many different cultures with one goal in mind; Inspiration!
