Ski touring Folgefonna – Norway’s third-largest glacier, with Hardanger Fjellguide
The Folgefonna Traverse covers around 50 kilometers and unfolds over three unforgettable days. Depending on weather, snow conditions, and the group’s preferences, we’ll spend the nights in tents or cozy mountain cabins like Holmaskjer, Fonnabu, or Sauabrehytta.
The trip takes three days in total and includes challenging ascents, stunning glacier formations, and panoramic views of the Hardangerfjord, the Rosendal Alps, and Hardangervidda. Historically, the glacier served as an important travel route, and today it is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The tour is best suited for spring and can be done either with tents or as a hut-to-hut experience.
Practical Information
All participants will be invited to a digital info meeting (on Teams) two weeks before the trip. We’ll go through the route, equipment, safety guidelines, and answer any questions you may have.
The trip requires a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 participants. There will always be two guides accompanying the group to ensure safety and the best possible experience.
