Skiing in Voss

Skiing in Voss is one of the main winter activitives. There is something for every taste and you will find two of the biggest ski resorts in Western Norway here. There is ski areas with slopes of all levels and difficulty, terrain parks and off-piste terrain. For those who prefer softer activities, you can experience a various of cross-country trails. Voss has family-friendly ski resorts, and possibilities to join ski classes. You don't have to worry about bringing you own equipment, at both resorts you will find ski rental. 

How to get around:

It should be easy to access the ski resort at Voss. When arriving with train from Bergen or Oslo, you can easily find a way to transport to the resorts. If you want to access the slopes at Voss Resort, you can take the gondola directly from the train station. At the top station you will also find a restaurant and ski rental, so you don't have to worry about food or equipment. The family-friendly resort Myrkdalen has daily free skibusses leaving at 10 am from the bus station, just around the corner from where the train stops. If you are not staying at the cosy and modern Myrkdalen Hotel, you can take the bus back to the centre of Voss at 3.40 pm. In Myrkdalen you will also find ski rental, active wear shop and of course multiple places to eat. Both in Myrkdalen and at Voss Resort they have cross-country trails.
